Reading About Driving

Saturday April 1, 2006
When I first got into radio controlled vehicles, RC cars and trucks were the norm. Flying RC airplanes wasn't something the kids on my block did much. Nowadays flying is the new driving. It seems like everyone wants to fly a plane or a helicopter — even little kids. If you're really into aviation (or think you might be) there are plenty of magazines out there devoted to RC flying. But those who want to stick to the pavement or dirt will have a harder time finding a print magazine devoted entirely to RC cars and trucks. There are a few though. RC Driver is my top choice as a good read for both beginner and professional RC enthusiasts.

RC Car’s new editorial staff has made the magazine 100x better in the last 6 months. It’s nothing like it was before and I like that its all about rc cars like the title says. Very family friendly too.
