If the Navy Won't Take You, Make Your Own

Sunday April 2, 2006
I've never had a desire to join the Navy. But owning a Navy ship — that's something that intriques me. Without an ocean in my backyard, a full size warship is out of the question. OK, there are probably other reasons why that won't happen. But I do have a cool looking 20" RC ship all decked out with lights, guns, and pretend torpedoes. If you've got a little sailor in your household then the HT-2877 RC Warship might make the perfect gift. This electric RC boat is no bathtub toy though so you'll need access to a pool or pond.

Just bought one of these.
Still need to try it out but it looks OK.

It is not a British torpedo boat though.

It is a PT-11 class torpedoboat of the JMSDF (Japanse Maritime Self Defence Force). build around the 1970s and put out of service 1995.
