Give Battery-Operated RCs a Heart Transplant

Remember that Christmas when you got your first RC car? How anxious you were to play and have fun with your Christmas present that you woke up at 5 am only to have to wait 4 hours until you could play with it? Remember the fun you had driving it around, chasing the dogs and cats across the living room or backyard? Now do you recall the long drawn out wait for your battery to recharge? Thankfully the days of waiting are over. Now days, with fast charging peak chargers it is easy to charge any type of RC battery in about 30 minutes or so, if not less.

For electric RC owners, a peak charger is a definite must have if you value your play time and want to get as many runs in as possible in a short amount of time. For Nitro RC owners, you know how important it is to keep that 7.2V battery for your electric starter (if you have one) always at the ready. You can double your fun with a dual peak charger. I recently purchased the Twin Peak AC/DC Dual Peak Charger. The ability to charge two batteries at once cuts the waiting time to practically nothing.

And while we're talking about batteries... Many electric RCs require juggling and constantly replacing a bunch of disposable alkaline batteries. Even if you use those rechargeable ones it's still a hassle to wait for them to charge and then pop them all -- one at a time -- into your RC. Instead, there's a simple battery modification you can do so that your electric RC will accept an easy to charge and replace battery pack.
