Inflatable Racing
Wednesday June 21, 2006
Would you pay $100-$130 for an inflatable RC car? I can't see it myself. However, just about everywhere I look inflatable RCs are selling for a more attractive one half to one quarter of list price. Soft, cushy air-filled bodies make them kid-friendly (unless Junior is carrying a sharp knife) and easy on the walls and furniture -- although the size might make them more suitable to sidewalk play. Walking through Sports Authority at the mall this week I found both 1:6 and 1:4 scale Rev-It inflatables on clearance. I admit to some sketicism on first glance but some of the features that make these RCs a possibly cool idea for kids are the digitally recorded real race car sounds and a microphone and speaker that let you speak through the car like a PA system. They come with a pump and a patch kit for those inevitable accidental tears.

What a great concept!
And a lousy execution!
The company has gone out of business.
I have eight (8) of these cars and you never know when they will or won’t work.
I have 2 of them. Both worked once out of the box. Pieces of S**T!!!
I never opened the box until a few months later and decided to sell on ebay. Now i’m too embarrased.
