The Hum of an Electric RC

Thursday January 25, 2007
I love my nitro but I still have far more electric RCs in my collection. And with either kind I can never leave well enough alone -- upgrade and modify, that's my motto. One common upgrade for an electric RC is the motor.
  • Novak HV Series Brushless Motors
Looking to upgrade your electric RC? Consider a new motor. Novak's HV series brushless motors are an awesome upgrade for any electric hobby-grade RC where there is a need for speed without the heat problems associated with some electric motors.

  • Replacing the Motor on an Electric RC
Changing out the motor on an electric RC is fairly simple. You might want to change the motor because the old one is dead, you want more power, or you need more torque. Whatever your reason, learn how to replace the motor on a hobby-grade electric RC.

  • Modifying an Electric RC to Use a Quick-Charge Battery Pack
Replacing disposable batteries for your RC vehicle can get expensive. Recharging rechargable batteries can take an eternity (or at least seem to). To save money and get more play time you can modify electric RCs that run on disposable or rechargeable alkaline batteries so that they can use quick-charging, reusable battery packs.
