The Boy Toy of the Year was the Spy Video RC Car. While I might be reluctant to let my own kids loose with a roving camera, I've got to admit that doing a little stealth camera work myself does appeal to me. OK, to be perfectly honest, what I'd really like to do is build an RC with a hidden camera and microphone. Oh the fun!

The government, business, and scientists use cameras and RC airplanes and helicopters for aerial photography, surveillance, and other noble pursuits. But there are ways for individuals to combine cameras and RCs for both practical and entertaining uses around the home. Discover how to use an RC with a camera for at-home work and play or buy an RC surveillance vehicle.

Want to put a camera on your RC car but not sure what's involved? In this video that the owner calls Buggycam he describes and demonstrates how he created his own homemade on-board camera RC with a laptop hook-up.

This isn't a tutorial, it's just a quick description then a demonstration of the view as the RC buggy runs up and down the street.

Not great quality but you can see the results of a simple home setup. Check out these other videos of RCs with On-Board Cameras to see the varying quality and views.
