Xing Out the XMODS

RadioShack isn't making more XMODS. Sad news for our XMODS loving family. UPDATE October 2008: XMODS Are Back!

We have almost all the Evolution (Generation 2) XMODS series and they're the RCs we play with most consistently. Great family fun since we all have one. I have two now. Just picked up Barricade, the police car from the Transformers movie. It's going to add a whole new dimension to our parking lot tag games once I get him fully upgraded. Oh yeah!

This week my wife and I visited several area RadioShack stores looking for whatever XMODS accessories we could find. We picked up 4-wheel drive and all-wheel drive upgrade kits for 99 cents as well as motor upgrades for four of our six cars and a light kit for the Barricade.

Most stores had next to nothing (if any) of the XMODS accessories along with slashed prices on the Transformers XMODS (and ZipZaps too). If you haven't upgraded your XMODS yet, start hitting all the RadioShack stores you can find in your area before all the accessories are completely gone.
