Repairing RC Toys

Thursday March 13, 2008
For every working RC at my house I've probably got two or more that are inoperable. Most of those are of the toy-grade variety. I don't generally spend a lot of time repairing broken RC toys (as opposed to my hobby-grade big boy toys!) because it's not usually worth the time and effort. But now and then I have a toy that I know I can get a little more life from with a simple fix. Several questions in the RC Vehciles forum deal with locating missing parts or asking about how to make dead RC toys work again. In response to questions like that I've made a list of some of the ways you can attempt to repair broken RC toys. The more comfortable you are with tinkering around with electronics, motors, and various mechanical parts, the more likely it is that you can get that RC up and running again.
