Make RCs Your Job, Not Just Your Hobby

Sunday July 27, 2008
With just about every RC I buy I'm always thinking, "hey, they shouldn't have done it that way" or "why did they make that part so hard to reach?" Are you one of those people who is always suggesting that some RC car or truck would have been better if the manufacturer had used a different engine, changed the chassis, or made this tweak or another? Maybe you could work for one of those manufacturers. Not my kind of gig (I like working from home too much), but some of you RC lovers with big ideas or a background in engineering or product design might want to check out these ways to combine what you do for fun with what you do for money (to pay for all that fun!).
  • Traxxas needs Mechanical Designers, Design Development Engineers, and others. They're in Texas.
  • Losi is looking for Product Managers. They are in California.
  • HPI doesn't list any specific job openings right now but send 'em a resume anyway.
  • Hobbico just posted a bunch of new positions this month including technical, professional, and sales & service openings.
