RC Fun Gadget Round-Up

Thursday November 6, 2008
Over the last few weeks I've found these cool radio controlled toys to use and amuse.

RC Golfer - Here's a gift for the golfer in the family. Now they can golf year-round, in any weather and right from the comfort of home. Choose your club then put the little guy in position near the putting green and take a swing. The controller is your golf bag. The extra fun feature: "Variable power swing control allows you to apply just the right amount of power to your shots whether you?re driving or putting." RC Golfer at PerpetualKid.com

Deluxe RC Sportscar with Video Camera - The SpyGear Video Car is popular with kids and a lot of guys like to mount a camera on their RC cars. But here's another option that sounds really cool to me. This car adds a laser shooting function so you can spy on the neighbors with the wireless video and 2.4 inch LCD display or play radio controlled laser tag with your friends. It's a 27MHz car with tri-band selector so you can run up to three of them together. Other fun features include a microphone (best for use when not moving) and remoted controlled headlights. Cyber Surfer R/C Spaceboard - It's a spacey looking surfboard with a pair of horizontal ducted fans for hovering and air surfing. Unfortunately the board is only big enough for the little surfer dude in his spacesuit-looking outfit. I can't ditch my pickup for getting around town, yet. So you can spend more time flying and less time balancing, it has a built-in solid state accelerometer. "You never need to worry about balancing the surfer since the accelerometer adjusts the propeller speed accordingly and keeps him rock solid in the air. Just push the stick up and you're hovering."
