Replacing a Lost Robot Remote
Monday November 17, 2008
One of the problems I hear about a lot is lost or broken controllers for RC toys. While hobby-grade controllers are easily (if sometimes expensively) replaced, it's not always easy to find a new controller for radio controlled toys. You can try controllers from other toys with the same frequency but sometimes it's a hit or miss proposition to get the exact right frequency and functions. But WowWee makes it easy to replace a lost remote for their line of RC robots, such as Robosapien, Tribot, and RoboPanda. The WowWee RoboRemote (Compare Prices) "is a remote controller designed to be used with any robot in the WowWee product line controlled by IR sensors." You have to be running Windows XP or Windows Vista in order to use the software required for programming the remote for your robot. It's a nice option to have if you've spent hundreds on a WowWee robot and can't find your controller. The RoboRemote can be used with multiple robots too.
