Don't Forget the Batteries

Monday December 15, 2008
We had our immediate family gift exchange early this year. One of the gifts that several of us had were big boxes of batteries. As you might imagine in a household full of RC vehicles -- not to mention the MP3 players, video game controllers, and digital cameras -- batteries are a hot commodity. I often have to hide boxes of AA batteries just so I have them when I need them. You can never have too many.

While you're out finishing up (or just starting) your holiday shopping, don't consider yourself done until you've checked the battery requirements for every gift you pick up. For RC toys, AA and 9V are the most common but other sizes might be required. Even if batteries are included, it's a thoughtful gesture to throw in an extra set of whatever batteries the toy needs.

And even if you aren't purchasing an RC gift, for the RC lover on your list you can still make them smile by stuffing their stocking with an assortment of batteries.
