Make It Stop! Fixing an RC Toy That Keeps Running

Monday December 22, 2008
One of the things that could cause an RC to keep running no matter what you do with the controller is a stuck button on the controller. That's what happened with one of my grandson's little RC cars. But sometimes the problem is inside the vehicle. What do you do when it's your child's favorite RC toy that is running wild? In the forum Carrie posted just such a situation with an RC garbage truck that won't stop running. I've offered up what I believe the problem could be and described in words and pictures how to troubleshoot the electronics to see where the problem really is.

RC toys are generally inexpensive and when they break, it's not always worthwhile to try to fix them. But if you're like me, it can be a fun challenge and quite satisfying when you can get it up and running again.
