I have to admit that I'm not real fond of pull-starts. But in response to the question What RC Nitro Engine Starter Method Do You Prefer? Wesley C. writes:
Pull Start all the way! Much easier than other methods IMO. You can tell what's going on by the sounds the engine makes when you give it a tug, very good for troubleshooting. The only disadvantage of pull start for me is having to rebuild it if you break it.. Not fun.. Roto-Start isn't bad, but the extra cash really just results in extra weight both on you and your car having to carry more around, and making sure it's charged all the time seeing as when it's done, so is your session.. - you can't hear whats going on for any problems either. Same goes for Box (Bump) start methods.
Do you have a preference or do you love 'em all? How much of a factor is the start method when you're considering buying a new nitro RC? Share your opinions on the best way to start a nitro RC.

I like the traxxas e-z starts, but same as roto starts when ur battery is dead your done. So right now until something new comes out, I am sticking with pull starts.
i would have to agree – pull starts for the engines. If the motor is kept in good condition and the outside temp isn’t too cold everything should kick off with 1-2 pulls. Less hardware is cheaper too, but it sure is nice to have something else do the work for you. my 2 cents.
