Last year my wife gave a semi-positive review of the Air Hogs R/C Zero Gravity Mini Car. Her bottomline recommendation:
"Only get the Air Hogs R/C Zero Gravity Mini Car if you have at least an 8x8 or larger, really smooth wall or ceiling surfaces. It runs fine on a flat door as well but that doesn't give you much driving room. Otherwise, it's just a little car with lights that runs around on the floor."
When she spotted the latest version -- the Zero Gravity Micro -- she wondered if a tinier version of the little car might have better sticking power. Running it on a door -- as she did with the mini car -- might be a little easier with the micro-sized one. But we haven't tried one yet.
Reader, John, has given it a try and added it to our reader recommendations for Worst RCs Ever. He writes:
"The regular size ones were a little bit of fun but not worth the money for the amount of time I spent with them so I don't know why I thought the mini version would be better. They aren't. The most positive thing I can say about the the tiny ones is that if they fall off the wall or ceiling they don't hurt quite as much when you get socked in the eye."
Not a glowing recommendation. So, have you tried the micro versions of these anti-gravity cars? Do they work any better for you than the larger ones? Would you recommend them to others? Why or why not?
