RC Driving Over the Web

From Michael James, About.com Guide   October 22, 2009

I recall hearing about this awhile back but the other night I stumbled across it again and spent a short time driving a little RC car via the Web.  The batteries were low but it was still fun to try to control these from a much greater distance than your typical radio controls will reach.

Using some Arduino electronics wizardry, Rajesh Patel has set up a little remote fun in his basement. Anyone with Web access can drive a couple of radio controlled toy cars around in a small box with a few mouse clicks. Open your browser window up to see the controls for each car (one on each side of the Webcam image).

There's a bit of a lag and I imagine that when a lot of people are online the driving will be quite erratic. But still a fun diversion.
