One of the more time-consuming and somewhat frustrating steps in building my AX10 was assembling the wheels with their beadlock rims.

When done, they look great. But it is a tedious process.

Over at Xtreme RC Cars Magazine/RC411 James Revilla wrote up a tutorial on how to Build Better Beadlocks. Some good pro tips here.

One of the advantages of beadlocks is you don't have to do any tire gluing. But they typically have a lot of (small) screws. This is one of those times when a power screwdriver  really comes in handy. A few extra hands wouldn't hurt either. Just be sure not to overdo it or you could strip the screws. Revilla recommends stopping just short of having the screws  all the way in -- finish with a manual screwdriver.
