Not yet feasible for RCs, this popsci.com article ("Gray Matter: Batteries Out of Thin Air") poses some interesting possibilities and a potential solution to the way-too-short runtimes found with some RC batteries. They even use a small RC helicopter in their illustration. But don't go stealing the batteries out of grandpa's hearing aid to do your own experiments. There are still some kinks to be worked out before we can start extending our RC runtimes to an hour or two before recharging.
