Radio controlled vehicles have been a passion of Mike's since he was a kid. But these toys aren't just for kids.

Mike has been involved with radio controlled vehicles for over a decade, buying, modifying, building, and racing both toy-grade and hobby-grade RC vehicles. Since 2006 he's been producing tutorials and teaching about radio controlled vehicles through About.com.

Electronics training in college allowed Mike to get more deeply involved in the technical aspects of operating, maintaining, and building RC vehicles.

As both an RC enthusiast and father I have been helping my son and step-daughters explore and learn more about the world of RC vehicles. I hope to extend that enthusiasm and knowledge to visitors to About.com Radio Controlled Vehicles as well through the reviews and tutorials found on this site.
