The Blade CP is the next step up from E-Flite's Blade CX micro RC helicopters. Unlike the CX with its coaxial counter-rotating head design, the CP uses conventional main and tail rotor design for faster, but trickier-to-control flight. This 6-channel micro helicopter flies anywhere and comes ready-to-fly right out of the box. An optional Aerobatic Enhancement Kit adds more tricked out aerobatics and inverted flight capabilities to the Blade CP.

Ready-to-Fly E-Flite Blade CP:
The E-Flite Blade CP comes with everything installed such as a 4-in-1 receiver, Ni-MH battery pack, mixer, electronic speed control system (ESCs), 370 main motor, gyro and a 6-channel FM radio system. To complete the RTF package there is servo reversing and CCPM mixing. Each Blade CP is test-flown at the factory to ensure top quality performance and control that RC enthusiast have come to expect from E-Flite's top RC products.
Aerobatic Extras for the Blade CP:
To do loops, rolls, and the always impressive inverted flight, owners of the Blade CP can use a 3-cell 860-1320mAh Li-Po battery pack and E-flite's Aerobatic Enhancement Kit -- available online or at your local hobby shop. The kit includes main 370 motor heat sink, tail motor heat sink, high-quality symmetrical main blades, and 370 main motor with 9-tooth pinion. I don't recomment you try to mow the lawn with the CP but you can certainly impress your buddies by flying around upside down.
Key Features At-A-Glance for the Blade CP:
- CCPM (Cyclic/Collective Pitch Mixing) and collective pitch provide complete control
- Flight performance for indoors and outdoors (little or no wind)
- Each Blade CP model is individually test-flown at the factory
- Now includes optional Crash Kit
- Needs 8 "AA" batteries for controller
- Optional hop-up and full replacement parts are widely available online or at your local hobby shop but are sold separately
Blade CP Flying Lessons:
This is not an RC helicopter designed for beginners. Some experience with more basic models, flight simulators, or training with an experienced RC pilot is strongly recommended before attempting to fly the Blade CP. You'll need an understanding of collective, tail, elevator, and aileron controls for helicopter flight. The patience to make sensitive adjustments and quick response during flight are also needed.
As cool as aerobatics and inverted flight may be, I'd recommend holding off on the Aerobatic Enhancement Kit until you have basic flight control mastered.
