These free RC airplane plans feature planes made out of inexpensive foam sheets. Foamies are often a good type of plane for inexperienced builders. That doesn't always mean they are great for inexperienced RC pilots though. I remember a quote from some movie along the lines of "Planes? Yeah sure I can fly a plane. It's landing them that's a pain in the butt!" To twist it around a bit, "Building planes? Yeah sure I can build an RC airplane. Just don't expect me to fly the thing." But at least if I crash I can rebuild it easily.

FoamFly.com has a lot of pages to look through offering you plenty of ideas. Some of the plans you have to purchase but there are a lot of them that are also free. Just click on the picture in the gallery and it will take you to the page where you will be able to see what is available for the build. Some of the pictures that you click on will take you to another page that has either one big pic or several smaller tiles that when taped together form the blueprint for the plans selected.
In the build guide section the are two different downloads. One is the Download Instruction Manual for Mini Series Models and the other is the Download Instruction Manual for the Kevlar Truss System. There is also a section called pusher jets this section of the site has free plans for Thomas Nelson's Fan Fold SU-27 Flanker. In the motor guide section there is a chart that some of us don't think about when starting out as a beginner which is a Motor Comparison Chart that covers motor, gearing, prop, battery, amp draw, and thrust. If you click on the coming soon button on the left there are free plans for the F-20 Tiger-shark Pusher Park jet.
At first I was confused on how to get the free plans. To save you the trouble i will tell you that just go through the simple steps and create your free account and find the plans you want (make sure they have $0.00 next to them or they're not free). When you get to the purchase choice choose the option free of charge and proceed to the checkout and at the end it will provide you with a link. You have to jump through a few hoops but this a great place to get your hands on some free plans of all kinds of foamy type RC airplanes. The plans are pretty well made and thought out so you shouldn't have any trouble building a plane from them. And if you find some plans that aren't free, you can purchase them through the site.
This site is another great place to find free RC foamy plane plans. Under the heading "RCGroups Plans" there are a good deal of free plans some links work and then there are a few that don't or at least for me they didn't but there are plenty of other plans to choose from. The plans are actually located in the RCGroups.com forum but RCFoam.com has found the threads that deal specifically with foamy plane plans. Be sure to download any pictures you find for the plans selected and some have links to actual plan downloads.
