One-Color Wow! RC Body Painting

One Color Plus Decals Make For a Quick and Easy RC Paint Job

By , About.com Guide

Feeling timid about painting your first RC body? Can't decide on a color scheme or not quite ready for elaborate masking and airbrush techniques? The quickest and easiest paint job involves just a single color. Then add some razzle-dazzle with a great set of carefully applied decals including pinstripes and detail graphics for grills and windows.

For best results the publishers of Radio Control Performance Plus (compare prices) recommend choosing a color that works well with your chosen decals, a color that makes the decals pop -- which is usually not black. They suggest reds, yellows, and metallics.

If you use inside-out decals, be sure to apply the decals first (to the inside of the clear body) then paint.
