Definition: A multi-use wrench used for installing glow plugs, installing tires, and other tasks is the cross wrench. Much like a four-way tire iron, the cross wrench usually has one arm that is longer making it shaped more like a cross than an X. There are usually different size tools at the end of the arms. Some RCs, come with a small cross wrench but larger ones are often easier to use and may come with a greater variety of tools on them.
Depending on the specific tool, the cross wrench is used to remove and install glow plugs, tighten ball joints, remove or install tires, and adjust the slipper clutch on electric and nitro RCs. See: Ways to Use a Glow Plug Cross Wrench
