Definition: Brought over the from the world of full-size power-pulling, RC tractor pulling is a power-pulling competition which pits machine against weight to see which tractor can pull the heaviest load the farthest distance down the track.
The RC vehicles used in RC tractor pulling are generally heavily modified or built from scratch vehicles with supercharged motors, sometimes several motors or engines. They pull a specially constructed trailer (called a sled) that redistributes the weight during the pulling — until it is impossible for the tractor to go further. The amount of weight is determined by the various classes and rules set up for these RC tractor pulling competitions.
RC truck pulling uses trucks instead of tractors. The modified vehicles used for power-pulling may not even resemble traditional RC tractors or trucks.
