Banked turn

Banked turns are sloped turns.

Definition: On an RC track, a banked turn is a raised, sloped turn.

Purpose of Banked Turns: The banked turn allows an RC to turn corners while maintaining or even increasing their speed -- a sling-shot effect. A banked turn may have some kind of wall or barrier at the top of the berm to keep the RCs from flying off the track when they come at the turn too fast.

Also Known As: banked wall | berm
