Definition: On an RC track, a berm is a built-up hill or wall of dirt.

Purpose of a Berm: The berm supports a banked turn. A berm may also refer to any built-up area -- usually of dirt -- used to separate the RC track from the pit, spectators, and other areas and keep the RC confined to the track area.
