Definition: At an RC track or a slot car racing track, the corner marshal is someone who aids drivers when their cars flip over, stall, or get stuck. The corner marshal will quickly get an RC back on the track and out of the way of oncoming traffic. If a car or truck runs out of fuel or is inoperable, the corner marshal removes the vehicle from the track.

Corner Marshal Rules
Tracks usually have designated corner marshals who may be required to follow an established set of rules for formal races. For informal track use, corner marshalling may be provided on a casual basis by volunteers.

Corner Marshal Postitioning
A corner marshal, as the name implies, is typically positioned at all corners or turns. A corner marshal may be on the outside or inside of the track depending on the track configuration and based on where most vehicles typically have trouble negotiating the track.

Also Known As: turn marshal
Alternate Spellings: corner marshall
