Outrunner

Definition: Typically used in RC boats and RC aircraft, an outrunner electric motor is a type of brushless motor that has the magnets attached to an outer case of the motor. The coils are in the center of the motor and stay stationary during forward and reverse movement when power is applied from the electronic speed controller. The wires and the inner section are usually fixed at the bottom.
