Straights

By Michael James, About.com

Definition: On an RC track, straights are those sections of the track between the curves and corners. Straights may be completely smooth, allowing the driver to build up speed or they may include a few moguls or washboard segments that can slow a driver down. Straights may begin and/or end with turns or jumps. A long straight may have a jump somewhere in the middle.
Also Known As: straightaway
Alternate Spellings: straight-a-way
