1:5 Scale Ready-to-Run HPI Baja 5T Gas Desert Truck

HPI Racing has come out with a new aggressive RC that is a 1:5 scale desert truck, modeled after trucks in the famous Baja 1000 race held in Mexico. It has a similar chassis to the Baja 5B SS but the Baja 5T is a totally different off-road RC. It has larger tires, extended roll cage, different bumper setup, and a few other minor changes. Despite the changes and new features, it is still compatible with many Baja 5B replacement parts and accessories.

Power:

Like the Baja 5B SS, the 5T has a 26cc gasline engine. The Fuelie 26 is a more powerful engine than the 23cc of the Baja 5B RTR, is equipped with a pullstarter, is air-cooled, and has an adjustable carburetor with primer and kill switch.

Body:

But what really makes this RC stand out from the rest of the Baja 5B series is that it has a smoothly designed body with sculpted fenders, scoops and louvers. You also have the option of two different colored bodies -- black or white. Both come with pre-painted racing decals and tinted windows. Combine all of this with the included new stylish outlaw truck rims and tires and you have one fine ready-to-run off-road RC vehicle.

The Baja 5T also comes with the newly designed body mounting system that keeps the body securely attached to the chassis for those unexpected (but largely inevitable) rollovers. The body mounting system is fully adjustable for compatibility and there is an integrated rear body brace for extra strengthening. Dirt guards on the sides of the Baja 5T help keep debris from getting to the vital parts and of course help with the clean up process -- and we all know what a pain that can be when dirt and grime work their way into the nooks and crannies.
