Disconnect Leads and Pinion Gear

Pull Apart the Leads, Unscrew the Pinion Gear Screw

Disconnect the power leads on the motor from the power leads to the speed controller.

Use your hex wrench to loosen the screw that holds the pinion gear on the end of the motor. Remove the pinion gear from the old motor. After you remove the pinion gear, give its hex screw a few turns to make it stay on the pinion gear.
