Lights Can Deplete Power
There is only one significant drawback that I could find with the HT-2877 RC Warship. The bridge light can't be turned off even during daytime play the light is on so the lights are constantly draining the battery of precious playtime. Granted you get about a quarter of an hour in the water with it; but, it could be longer if there were a way to shut off the light.Delicate Details

Don't Get Stranded
Another thing that causes mild concern with the HT-2877 RC Warship is that when the battery is down, it is difficult to get the boat back to land. Ive had to send out my submarine once already to retrieve it from the middle of the pool because it didnt have enough power to make it back to "shore" on its own. That's a common risk with any electric or nitro boat on the market today. Before running it out in a pond or vast area of water, it is a good idea that you get familiar with the RC boat and know how it acts when it is low on power. The worst thing that could happen is that you are sailing it out in open water and a current grabs it without having enough power to fight back.
