Nighttime Fueling

It's Safer When You Can See Where the Nitro Fuel is Going

By , About.com Guide

Nitro fuel that lands anywhere but inside the tank is a safety hazard and harmful to your RC. But at night it can be tough to see just where to put that fuel nozzle. Light it up.

To help prevent fuel spills when refueling a nitro RC after dark, attach a small LED flashlight to your fuel bottle or quick-fueling fuel gun. You'll be able to see where the fuel is going -- keeping it off of vital components such as servos and other electronics -- and won't have to juggle the flashlight and fuel bottle while also opening the lid on the fuel tank.
