The animated Disney/Pixar film Cars is populated with a world of talking vehicles. Several of the main characters leap off the screen and into homes in the form of radio controlled cars like Lightning McQueen, Sally, and Tow Mater. Pick your size, price, and features from these models.
1:64 Scale: The 1:64 scale Zip Zaps from Radio Shack are inexpensive, quick-charging micro RCs that fit in the palm of your hand. They typically come with removeable bodies, working lights, and removeable tires and hubcaps. The "Cars" version of Zip Zaps are Lightning McQueen, Sally, and Mater (with mismatched hubcaps and only one headlight).
These movie versions can be modified just the same as any of the Zip Zaps so when you're tired of "Cars" turn them into a pickup truck or something else. Available in 27 and 49MHz, they run at a top speed of 1.7 MPH. Recommended for ages 8 and up, adults love 'em.
1:32 Scale: The 1:32 scale Mattel Tyco R/C Little Rides versions of Lightning McQueen, Sally, and Mater run at 27MHz.

1:16 Scale: There is also a much larger 1:16 scale Mater (about 18" long) with a real tow line from Mattel. Radio Shack sells a 1:16 scale Ramone (27MHz) hot rod and Lightning McQueen (49MHz) which can both go 546 feet per minute (around 6 MPH). These vehicles go forward, left, right, reverse, reverse left, reverse right, and stop and are recommended for ages 5 and up.
