Once it is out of the way you can remove the spur gear.

Remove the Wheel Hub Cover and the Spur Gear

Remove the wheel hub cover. One screw holds it in place. Although it might not be apparent in the photos, the wheel hub is just large enough that it prevents you from taking the spur gear off so it must be removed.

- Install the Upgrade Kit
- Removing Plastic Strip Holding Motor in Place
- Remove Cover on Spur Gear
- Remove Motor and Plastic Spacer
- Remove the Wheel Hub Cover and the Spur Gear
- Choose a Gear Setup
- Put in New Spur Gear and Spacer in Gear Box
- Replace the Pinion Gear
- Remove Leads to Old Motor
- Install the Motor, Heat Sink, Reassemble the XMODS
