Install the new, larger pinion gear onto either your stock motor or the Stage 2 upgrade motor.

Replace the Pinion Gear

If you plan to keep the original motor and only change the gear ratio you'll need to remove the old pinion gear from the motor. Gently pry the pinion gear off the stock motor. (photo 1)

- Removing Plastic Strip Holding Motor in Place
- Remove Cover on Spur Gear
- Remove Motor and Plastic Spacer
- Remove the Wheel Hub Cover and the Spur Gear
- Choose a Gear Setup
- Put in New Spur Gear and Spacer in Gear Box
- Replace the Pinion Gear
- Remove Leads to Old Motor
- Install the Motor, Heat Sink, Reassemble the XMODS
